Various Works

HBS Construction Ltd. have worked in CIT for the last number of years carrying out various works including building maintenance and upgrade and refurbishment of offices, laboratories and classrooms. All works are carried out in a “live” environment with minimum interference with the daily operations of the College which has approximately 12,000 students and 1,500 staff. This requires that all services and escape routes are maintained during the course of the works. Works to services that require a shutdown are completed out of hours to avoid disruption to the college operations. It is necessary to carefully coordinate all deliveries to avoid disruptions to the campus operations. The work included the installation of new stud partitions, screens, joinery, wall finishes and floor finishes. It also included the coordination of all specialist subcontractors including mechanical, electrical, data, flooring and furniture.
